Thijs Heijnen

Thijs Heijnen (1981) has been drawing and painting all his life. He originally started his career as a graphic designer, focusing primarily on illustrative work. His creative and unique approach has resulted in the distinctive style that has characterized his work since 2010.

The themes Thijs explores are joy and conviviality. “I mainly paint women who enjoy life. The paintings are drenched in bright colors, applied straight from the bottle. This creates powerful images with a lot of expression.”
